The Best Tinted Sunscreens of 2025

Cruelty-free, tinted sun protection for all skin types and tones without a white residue.
If I had to choose one skincare product for life, it would be tinted sunscreen. A good tinted sunscreen can protect you from sun damage, premature skin aging, and most importantly, skin cancer. Sunscreens with a little tint can also help even out your skin tone and conceal redness, fine lines, and hyperpigmentation.
Note: I highly recommend using a regular sunscreen as a base and using the tinted sunscreen as a finishing touch, or as a cherry on top. This is because using the correct amount of tinted sunscreen can make you appear as though you are wearing too much product.
Here are my five favorite tinted sunscreens, and they are all cruelty-free:
I love the velvety texture and blurred matte finish of this Tarte BB tinted moisturizer with SPF because it evens out fine lines, uneven textures, pores, and sunspots. It's the perfect no-makeup makeup look, featuring medium coverage that looks incredibly natural. I've used it in the winter, where it doesn't feel dry, and in humid summer, where it lasts all day without melting away. It's available in 12 shades. It's one of the best tinted sunscreens.

Shade matching can be a bit confusing because I have medium skin, but the shade "light" works best for me, as the shade "medium" was too dark

This EWG-verified sunscreen is travel-friendly (it's a stick sunscreen) and comes packaged in a FSC-certified biodegradable cardboard. It evens out your skin tone while adding a little tint and also has the benefits of hydrating Phytoglycogen and revitalizing seaweed extract. It's a great tinted sunscreen to carry in your purse for touchups without making a mess, and it works well under makeup too. Many eco-friendly people consider it the best tinted sunscreen.

Uneven application due to the stick
It's hard not to love a K-Beauty product and they make the best tinted sunscreens like Erborian Color Correcting CC Cream because it evens out your skin tone and hides all imperfections, as if you have a filter on, and contains Centella asiatica (cica) to calm your skin if you are prone to irritation. It's a bit thicker than BB cream, making it perfect for when you need more coverage. I use the shade "Dore," which is best suited for medium skin, and it's perfect for a night out.

Light finish feels more like medium
This feels the most like a makeup and skincare hybrid because it has hyaluronic acid, glycerin, and ceramides, so my skin feels so hydrated, nourished, and protected for hours. Usually, I'm not a fan of a radiant finish, but it leaves a flattering, sheer glow with minimal coverage while still covering spots and fine lines. It makes my skin tone look really —mostlovely. It has 5 shades that seamless blend into your skin tone even if you get one shade off because I wear the shade "Medium" that works for me when I am my palest in the winter and darkest in the summer.

Liquid can easily spill
Expensive
This tinted moisturizer feels so light on your skin, like a soufflé, and does everything a tinted sunscreen does, such as protecting you from the sun while camouflaging minor skin imperfections without hiding your natural skin. It also has the skincare benefits of hyaluronic acid and Vitamin C. I love these multitasking products for winter, when my skin feels dry; they feel too greasy for summer. It comes in 12 shades, and I am shade 5 (light medium with warm-neutral undertones). Most accurate shade-matching and the best tinted sunscreen for winter and dry skin.
