May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month, and here are the best mineral sunscreens

Summer is finally here, and as we start spending more time outside, it's important to remember to always use sunscreen. You might think it's such a hassle to wear sunscreen because you feel like you need a little color, so what's the harm in skipping sunscreen once? Well, wearing sunscreen can save lives.

According to the Skin Cancer Foundation, more than 5 million people get diagnosed with skin cancer every year, and it's among the most preventable types of cancer. Anyone can get skin cancer, irrespective of age, race, ethnicity, and skin tone, so it's wise ALWAYS to wear sunscreen, avoid spending too much time under the direct sun and do regular skin checks to see if there are any changes.

It's awesome if you have been religiously using sunscreen; if you haven't, let's start now, and here are some sunscreens worth trying because they are excellent (and I love them).

I love this mineral sunscreen because it doesn't leave a white cast on my tan skin. It's super lightweight and has antioxidant properties of Vitamin E and photolyase to help repair preexisting sun damage. I like how it smells, it's non-comedogenic, and my dad is a fan too.

A mineral sunscreen that looks tinted but spreads so quickly while keeping your skin feeling super hydrated is hard to find, but this one from Naked Sundays is for real. It is a moisturizer, primer, and sunscreen. It has vegan collagen to diminish fine lines and watermelon extract (so rich in Vitamin C) to help you glow.

If you're looking for a non-nano zinc mineral skin that adds a veil of perfection to your skin like you have a glowy filter on in real life, along with the goodness of niacinamide and green tea, you need these tinted mineral drops in your vanity. To find your perfect match, choose from five shades that adapt to your skin perfectly. I wear shade 02.

I wore this tinted sunscreen and posted a picture on Instagram, and people thought I used a filter, and that's exactly how good this is. It leaves you looking naturally glowy by evening out and brightening your skin while keeping your skin so well-hydrated. Totally worth it!

If your skin feels extra greasy, you need an oil-free mineral sunscreen like this super blendable mineral sunscreen that feels lightweight and has a dewy finish. It works as an excellent primer under makeup while preventing dark spots and fine lines and even protecting you from blue light and pollution.

Thanks to CeraVe for creating this hydrating sunscreen that makes you glow with zero chalkiness. This universal tint works for all skin tones, so you don't have to worry about finding the right shade all year round. It blends in seamlessly and is even perfect for sensitive skin.
